Football-Filled Weekend

Does anyone else feel like it’s not Sunday? This weekend just flew by! Ours was filled with a lot of fun and football 🙂
Friday night we decided to go out to eat instead of making supper at home. We went to Yamato, a Japanese steakhouse. I love these places because they put on a show while they cook your food in front you!

(SO MUCH FOOD!)

After supper we headed over to Target to do the first part of our wedding registry. We were in there for about 2 hours, walking every aisle. It was really fun to look for things we needed/wanted! Since we have lived together for a few years now we have a lot of the things couples would register for so we decided to register more for things we knew we would want to replace as well as fun things.

When we were at Target we bought a new game to play! It looks a little kiddish on the box but it was more about making strategic moves to gain the treasure you need 🙂 Sadly, I lost…

Saturday we slept in until after 9, which is unheard of for me! We both did our individual workouts then had brunch. For the afternoon Cody watched some college football and I worked on grading while I watched Netflix.

We ate a quick supper before heading out to the Citadel football game. It was a little chillier than I expected and the Bulldogs ended up losing but we still had fun!

Cody and I headed over to hang out with some of his coworkers after the game to watch a different college game. They did win 🙂

Today we woke up bright and early to head up to Charlotte for the Panthers vs. Saints football game (see I told you – lots of football this weekend!).

(Gamecocks Marching Band played at halftime!)

We sat through drizzling the whole game but it was worth it because the Panthers pulled out a win!

After the game we went to Mac’s Speed Shop for supper and split a sampler platter (sorry no pic of the food… too hungry haha!)

We are now on our way home as I type this post 🙂
This weekend was really enjoyable and now we head back to the real world tomorrow. It is Homecoming week at school so everyone will be all dressed up and have an extra dose of chaos but that’s okay! It should be a fun week to see what the kiddos come up with to wear for each day since they are usually in uniforms!
Is football a part of your weekends in the fall?
What did you do for your wedding registry? (If you’re married/engaged)
